Remembrance Day 2025 – 80 years of remembrance

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.”

Today we remembered all those who have fallen in sacrifice for our country and continue to fight in our armed forces. This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II so holds particular poignancy.

We would like to say a special thank you to our Branch and Club members Sue Gray and Nigel Bulbeck for collating and sharing the personal stories of each soldier called to fight from our villages, Seale and The Sands, along with memorabilia passed down from their ancestors. The stories of each soldier will be kept on display in the Club until the end of the month.

Lest we forget 🥀
